"03mach1 - Now has a Fiesta ST" (03mach1)

So I'm walking back to my car and noticed this Toyota parked a little to close. I went to put my backpack in the trunk and there was no room! I was parked just fine, inside the lines by a good bit. But the driver of the Toyota felt the need to park in to my space. In person it looked like less of a gap.
Thankfully the Toyota never touched my bumper. Otherwise I would have been beyond mad.
Also, cold front came in and temperatures dropped to 30 degrees. I'm hearing that weird noise again and took a video. Don't know if I'm going to post it though.

Man, that takes some talent. I could never get my car that close without hitting it.

My mom can manage to park literally an inch or less before the wall in the garage. However I'm not sure if this was apathy or talent.

Haha, we had a foam cup hanging from the ceiling when I used to park in the garage so that I wouldn't park too far forward.

That's actually not a bad idea. I have trouble sometimes trying to figure out how close or far my front end is. I started out driving big sedans, and my Mustang is a lot smaller then those, so it was strange getting used to the size difference.

Hehehe. I kinda view it as a challenge to park in parallel parking spots that are tight like that. I don't often have occasion to parallel park, though, but I always end up going for the small spaces that have about that much clearance. ^_^
ETA: Annnnnd I just realized you meant regular parking lot set up with two cars facing each other in each aisle.... Yeah, that Toyota's a jerk.

I'm not that crazy! If the spacing is tight I just park somewhere else. Far away from everyone else. Actually that's where I always tend to park. I don't trust others.

You wouldn't last in my college's parking lot.

I've always driven teeny tiny cars in a land full of ginormous trucks (Texas). I have no fear of other people anymore. But luckily, my cars always take up so little space to begin with. :-)

I did this to my friend once. He was dropping someone off at their house, and I came roaring up behind him (read: 35mph) and stopped very hard, very close to his back bumper. Scared the sit out of his back seat passenger, who turned around and saw me coming.

Must be pretty bad then! My high school parking lot was a nightmare. In the same month when I got hit there were 3 other accidents.

I'm in Texas to! And it's true, huge trucks everywhere. It must be nice to have a tiny car though, there are so many times where I finally find a spot but it's way to small to park in.

That would scare me to!
Which reminds me of another time. I was walking home down my street when suddenly I heard tires squealing and see my friends BMW making a sudden hard left on to a street. Turns out he was going to mess with me, but realized he was going to miss the street where his friend lives. But he lived one street over, so he created that dramatic scene all for nothing.

This is why I park at the back when I'm not in my MR2.

It can be shit.

Hahaha! Well, howdy! I didn't even notice the tiny little Texas peeking out from that hint of your license plate. And a Mustang, too! Be still, my beating heart! Nice to meet ya, neighbor. We're fixing to get that same cold front later today. I'm excited. ^_^

Enjoy it, because my car and I certainly aren't! I miss this weekends 70 degree temperatures so much right now.

Just because there are no marks, doesn't mean it wasn't hit.

These days, I'm more paranoid about parking in driveways - my brother did $1800 in damage to my car over Thanksgiving weekend while it was safely parked at my parents' house. Never had anything near that bad happen in a parking lot.

That's terrible! It's not going to be easy to forgive him.
A month or two ago my dad pulled in to the garage and I pulled up behind him. As I was getting out of my car, he walked towards me and started talking. Then suddenly there was a loud crash sound. We look behind us and on the side of the street an Elantra was in the rear of my neighbor's newish Subaru Legacy. He must have mistaken the gas pedal for the brake. It was probably their son, must have been awkward. That Legacy sustained some pretty good damage to. The Elantra's license plate was just a little messed up.

I'm not too upset about it, it just sucks that he's still on my parents' insurance, so they're the ones getting screwed by it. Also it means I have to drive my work van around for however long it takes the shop to fix it.
Apparently his car got it pretty bad too, but he doesn't care. Just about every body panel on that thing has something wrong with it and he never gets anything fixed.

If nothing else, this might at least be the thing that finally pushes them to make him get his own insurance. I mean, he is 27 years old, he ought to be able to handle that by now.

Jeez, 27. It might just be time for him to get his own insurance.
